Well here is my very first blog and it is all about AJ's First Birthday party! It was super great! Gilbert and I planned fussed over every detail and wanted the day to be perfect for AJ! Which of course we know honestly that AJ didn't know it was different than any other day, except that there were awhole lotta people here and they were all wanting to hold him and all asking him to do his signature "The Incredible Hulk" imitation (video will be posted later). We had originally wanted the party to be Mickey Mouse but then later settled on Baby Elmo, Cookie Monster and Big Bird. So we went all out on decorating the house with everything we could with that theme. The morning started out with me using a helium tank to inflate 40 balloons to have in the house and outside in the backyard, plus Gilbert had gone to get more from the Party City store that we had ordered. Gilbert also had to go pick up the food and the cakes! By the time the party started AJ was ready to party!
All of our guests started arriving and we were so excited to see everyone! Before long there must have been 45 people either in the house or out back. Everyone had food, passed AJ around and commented on how big and cute he was! It is really hard to believe that our AJ is now one year old!
Well we finally did the cakes and AJ was a little freaked out about everyone sing Happy Birthday to him, and by his own little Cookie Monster cake, but after a few minutes he got into tearing it apart!
I loved that we had such a wonderful party for him and for all of our family and friends that love him so much! It was a wonderful day!
