This one looks pretty good!  I am not a huge fan of Will Smith, but he sure can make good movies. 

Yes We Can! Obama for President!

Gilbert and I completed our Mail In Ballots tonight!  We are true diehard Democrats. Our prayers are being said, that Senator Obama will be elected President of the United States on November 4th, 2008 and that history will be made.  The color of his skin should not matter, what matters is his intelligence, his dedication to this country and his hope to change this country for the better.  He has shown to little minority children that YES they can be whatever they want to be someday...that they too can inspire to be Senators and maybe one day they too can inspire to be the PRESIDENT of the USA! This man is for the working people, he is not just for corporate rich america!  He knows what is like to live pay check to pay check like most americans.  He is inspirational, God willing he becomes the President, I truly believe HE will become the one of the greatest Presidents of our lifetime.

Gilbert is a HUGE NYG fan and of course was thrilled when they won the superbowl last year!  I remember he had to contain himself because AJ was sleeping in his swing!  Anyway, I will surprise him with this!  Then AJ and him can sit and wear NYG gear and watch them on TV!  Gilbert has proclaimed his son will NEVER be a Bronco fan! 

I have to confess!

So I have to confess, I am obsessed with reading strangers blogs now! Isn't that weird??!!! I just hit that "next blog" button at the top and find blogs that look interesting and wham...I am read some of it and think..either this person is kinda interesting or holy smokes this person is freak!   Maybe I am the freak..reading strangers blogs....or do other people do this too???

The Disappearing Toys

Well lately toys have been disappearing and Gilbert and I started noticing that they were missing. We didn't think much of it at first figuring AJ just carried them to another part of them house and left them there. One in particular toy I noticed I hadn't seen him with in long while was this really cute Elmo radio that he got for his birthday (see pic). So I asked him, "hito, where is your little radio?" and of course he didn't answer me...he is only 1 years old!  I kept asking him for several days and finally I decided to show him a picture of it on the computer that I printed out and oh my gosh..my son is a genius....he pointed to the trash can!!!! He threw it away!!!  Here is a pic of a little girl with that little radio!!  Now I need to find another one!!

AJ at the Dr today

Good news!!  AJ went to the Doctor for his follow up to his last visit from 10 days ago when I took him for that awful stomach virus and to have his right ear re-checked.  His ear infection is all gone!! Woohoo!!! Poor AJ though, he really really hates it when the Doc looks in his ears!  At least today, Gilbert was able to meet us at the doc's office!  And other great news is that He even gained weight!  WOOOHOO!!! So the little guy is feeling good right now, lets pray he stays that way for as long as possible!  Thank you Lord, for healing my son!

New Shoes!!!

Well AJ got new shoes on Sunday to replace the one(s) I lost! Actually he got more than just one new pair of shoes, he got two new pair of Stride Rite shoes! He also got 4 new shirts and a pair of pants from the Carter's store and he also got two shirts, a pair a pants, and a winter hat and gloves from the Osh Kosh store.  Boy he made out! Here he is one with of his new pair of shoes on: 

This picture makes his feet look huge, but they are really small. Although, he has one foot bigger than the other. The lady at the store said that is pretty common. Hmmm, I wonder.  

I am having weird dreams!

Maybe it was my migraine medication or maybe it was that I was doing laundry last night, but I actually had a dream about these:  

Yes, I did have a dream about a washer and dryer...but not just any washer and dryer though!  These are my "top of the line" ones! Oh I can't wait till my washer and dryer die, so I can go and buy these!  The other day the knob broke on the dryer and until I can order a replacement one, we have been using a wrench to turn the thingy to the right setting, well I have trouble doing this. So I was complaining about it and every time I have to start a new dryer load I sweetly call for Gilbert to come do it and of course he doesn't mind doing but...he says to me...we just should go buy those front load ones you have been dreaming about!  Well folks, I would love love to go them, but I can't honestly run out and buy these dream washer and dryer just because the knob broke, it's not like I NEED these awesome pair...I just want them.  So until the less expensive pair that I have had since we bought our house 6 years ago die, I will keep using them and appreciate them till then!

AJ's First Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

Today AJ and I went to the Berry Patch Pumpkin Farm today.  We had alot of fun. We saw a chubby pig run around and AJ got to pet him, he wasn't afraid of him at all!  We also picked out a great pumpkin for him, that Gilbert and him can carve tomorrow (I will post that picture later).  There was music and hay rides and we ate pumpkin bread, yummy good!  Oh and AJ even got see turkeys right up close! Gilbert had to attend a Plumber's Conference this morning so he couldn't go with us, but that gives us an excuse to hit another pumpkin patch next week!  Me and my little sweetie had a good time! We missed Daddy, but I sure enjoy when I get to spend time with our Son. I feel so blessed! I waited all my adult life for this and it is wonderful being a Mommy! I love it more than anything else! 

A REAL "Joe the Plumber" who is voting for OBAMA

So John McCain, Sarah Palin and America you wanna see a real "Joe the Plumber?"  One that is actual a Card carrying dues paying member of Local 3 Plumbers Union in Denver, Colorado, with an actual State License, one with a real union five year apprenticeship education behind him, one that pays his taxes!  Well here HE is and he VOTED for Barack Obama!

Yellow Duck

AJ Loves the Yellow Duck! Here is a pic of him getting his bath.  He loves ducks!  I am trying to figure out how to make him a simple but homemade duck costume for halloween.  This child is sooo funny somedays! He was eating the bubbles..can a baby get sick from the bubbles...I hope not?!!  

AJ is getting better!

Well after a couple of days of nursing, AJ is finally feeling better! Thanks Lord!  It just breaks my heart for my son to be sick.  Not much else has been going on.  

Its been a long weekend!

Well my son has been sick all weekend since Friday night. Poor little guy came down with a stomach virus and an ear infection.  I won't go into the gory details, but it started late friday night with him vomiting right after we put him down to sleep in his crib.  And no soon did we get him cleaned up and his crib cleaned up, sheets changed and gave him some pedialyte and he seemed okay, and back to sleep...twenty mins later, he did it again! Oh I felt so bad for him!  Well I took him to the Doctor on Saturday morning with a 102 fever after he had breakfast and he did it again..due to my stupidity of feeding him milk and an ego!  He is much better today though the fever is gone and a whole day of it and a whole day of no milk.  With AJ being  my first child, it is a sad for you when they are sick and you want to make them better.  I am so happy he is better today and he is playful.  Thank God! 

The Lost Shoe because I was hungry for a Chicken Wing!

Well after I picked up AJ from his daycare school, I headed off to Albertson's to pick up a rotisserie chicken. Well we went in the store and I picked out a juicy chicken and I also bought some yummy mini chicken legs and wings.  I know you are saying so what does this have to do with AJ's shoe....well here is where my boring story gets interesting....... well at least to me!!!  When I came out of the store when I took AJ out of the stroller one of his fairly new his expensive (I think, they cost about $40) Stride Rite shoes came off! Well I proceeded to put him in his car seat and well of course I immediately forgot about the shoe! I then put the stroller away and jumped into the car and left.  You want to know why... I wasn't thinking about his shoe that came off.....because I was starving! And all I wanted to do was get into the car and eat a Chicken Wing!  Well I didn't remember my son's expensive shoe until I was all the way home and about to take him out of his car seat and I looked at himhappily sitting in his car seat with a big grin on his face like he totally knew I had drove off and left his shoe laying there in the parking! 

Then I took him out handed him to his dad and raced all the way back!  I looked under every car around where I parked and ...NO SHOE!!!! I went in and asked and they said "nope, no one has turned in a shoe!"  Okay...now I know its just a SHOE, but I feel pretty stupid for losing my son's shoe!

I have to wonder, if the person who found it took it with them, what are they going to do with it?  I mean if I parked my car and found a little kids shoe that is pretty new I would take inside and leave it at the desk.  I just wonder what has happened to my son's shoe.  Is some weirdo staring at my son's shoe or what? I am going to call them in the morning one more time and see if some one turned it in, but I am pretty doubtful.  I guess I will be going shopping for some new Stride Rite shoes for him tomorrow!

A Pea on AJ's Nose

Sometimes my son just makes me laugh with such joy I am overwhelmed! Here he was the other night while he was eating his dinner, and I happen to notice that he had a pea stuck to his nose. Now I thought this was just the cutest thing I had seen! It really made my day to see this. He was being pretty messy eater that night and I was not really concerned about it because it was bath night.  So I grabbed my camera and quickly snapped this photos. Now these  will be ones that we will bring out to show him and laugh about when he is older.  He just loved that I was taking his picture like this. I am not totally sure he realized that there was a pea stuck to his little nose, but what he did know was that I was having a good time at his expense.  Gosh we are so lucky to have this little guy in our lives! God has truly blessed Gilbert and I.

Gilbert thinks I am silly, but thats okay! He just laughs it off! But he even agreed to let me name our son after him...well sorta! haha

Hump Day

Thank Goodness for this being Wednesday! I am so looking forward to the weekend! AJ is totally walking around the house now, it is just great! He very rarely wants to crawl anymore. Our baby is not a baby anymore! It makes me a little sad! I can't believe how fast he is growing now. He is 14 months old now! Time really does fly by!  

They are calling for snow overnight Saturday night and I am ready for the warm temps to be gone. I love summer, but I like cooler weather too.  

I need to get with it!

Well I had tried so hard to commit to this new Blog Spot, but I have failed! But I am going to give another try! I did at least figure out how to change the background! That took me a good half an hour and once I did it, I was like good grief Jackie that was simple! The house is quiet expect Gilbert snoring from our bedroom and AJ softly breathing the monitor sitting on my desk. What a sleeping angel he is! Off to bed I go, so now that I have a totally cool background maybe I will be motivated to do some blogging. I am in the mood now!
